How To Find and Use The Best Hashtags For Instagram
Want to learn how to attract the perfect Instagram audience for your content and stop struggling with #hashtags?
What about how to use them on Instagram to drive traffic to your blog?
I’ve got you covered right here!
Recently I went through a thorough and super-effective Instagram training, so I want to show you a couple of the exact strategies I learned so you can start attracting the right people to your blog; and get more likes, comments, and followers.
Why are hashtags important?
If you’re not using hashtags, only those that currently follow your account will actually see your posts. Using hashtags puts your content into the greater pool so your audience increases and your content can be found by those searching for a particular topic.
And you absolutely need more eyeballs on your posts if you want to get more traffic to your blog!
I use the tool Iconoquare to find the best hashtags for Instagram.
Iconosquare is a great user-friendly interface and it’s mobile-friendly, so you can check your hashtags anytime, anywhere.
Just put a keyword in the search bar and Iconosquare will pull up the number count of hashtags being used, so you can see the popularity and if you’d want to use that one or not.
Not sure which hashtags to target?
Iconosquare’s data will help you determine how broad the target of hashtags is that you are considering targeting. Here’a quick look of Iconosqure from my phone. This quick search on the hashtag #blogging brings up suggestions of hashtags with the word “blogging” in them, as well as the number of posts associated with them so you can see their popularity and relativity.
Iconosquare is an AWESOME tool for Instagram marketers, with so many options to help manage and grow your account, but those extra features I’ll cover in another post!
Tagomatic is another great tool for finding the best hashtags for Instagram. Free app you can find on the AppStore.
Strategy 1: Enter all of your most commonly used hashtags you’ll be using to attract your niche, into an app like Evernote. Then when you’re ready to post, you just have to copy/paste them into Instagram.. Saves a TON of time!
Strategy 2: The most effective time to add hashtags to your posts is right at the time you are posting your image, but not exactly in the original post. This is so you can edit them later and boost your content in search results over and over!
